Back to About OneWorldStandards OneWorldStandards History OneWorldStandards Ltd was founded in 2006 by Matthew Wenban-Smith. Having established the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)’s accreditation programme and subsequently headed FSC's Policy and Standards Unit, Matthew’s aim was to transfer this experience and knowledge to other sectors. Since its establishment OneWorldStandards has worked on the development and implementation of standards and labels for responsible mining, tourism, agriculture and fisheries, as well as further work in forestry. Impact specific projects have focussed on carbon emissions and responsible water use. Clients have been from Australia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Germany, Ghana and the UK.
